I painted this image specifically for the 2017 International Watercolour Sociey's International Watercolour competetion held in Fabriano Italy. I wanted to paint a piece that represents me as an artist and highlights my favourite style for painting. I like paintings that give a sense of space using perspective and drawing elements. I limited my colour palette and focused on the light and reflection from the water on the ground, while enjoying myself as I attempted to recreate various textures.
