Body of Work > HOLLAND

My parents immigrated to Canada in 1970. My dutch roots run deep as most of my extended family lives there. I haven't been to Holland often in my life, but there's a familiarity to it that I am drawn to. Most of these paintings are about the urban dutch landscape, complete with boats, bikes, cars, bricks and trees.
For the most part, I prefer to paint these urban landscapes without people. I find it intriguing to find the evidence of human life without actually seeing one.
