GRIFFITH WOODS
This is the first series of images I've worked on that includes both watercolour and acrylic painting. There is a movement to this piece that draws your eye to the cracks between the rocks, following the path a leaf may have taken before it settles. The contrast of soft, colourful leaves dispersed between the sharper and larger rocks creates tension and interest. My favourite part of this image is the upper section where I had to create rocks "under" the water. That was very difficult, and it took a lot of trial and error to finally get it right.
