The colour of Venice is significantly different than other parts of Italy. The buildings are brightly coloured, the boats are full of red velvet inside and covered with bright blue when the tourist season calms down. The water reflects all the wonderful colour, and then the sun adds it's own warmth to everything. The sun had such a wonderful glow and ambiance while I was there, that I focused on how it changed the colour of the water for this image.
