I have been trying to find a balance between loose, less detailed work, and realism. I think I found that balance in this piece. The loose highlights in the reflections on the bottles were done using a resist technique and I'm very happy with the final result. This bartender was bored, and all his prep work was completed so he sat in this pose while he waited for a more interesting night to happen! In the meantime, he made my night interesting.
