ITALY
I've only been to Italy once, but it has left a deep impression. I have endless photos ready to use an inspiration, and they are all about the age and texture that you can see everywhere you go in Italy.
The brick work and surfaces of buildings and homes were worn and aged, and exposed the not only their age, but their quality of craftsmanship. Compared the young age of Calgary, I was smitten by the idea of how many stories these buildings could share.
As you will see by my imagery, the doors, are currently my favourite area of exploration.
